Photos of the illuminated HK from the top of a peak
Disclaimer : Most photos are variants (zoom, pan or tilt) of the same scenery. The photos are available in a higher resolution than what is on this page.
This is the St John's building. One among the many sky scrapers in this area .
First glimpse of the city view from the top of the peak. This haze is mostly from pollution by the way!
Lights start to turn on as darkness sets in
This is another island:

The taller building is IFC tower:

Some sort of illuminated hoarding on the other side of the sea. Got this pic thanks to the zoom!

HSBC and StanC - this area is the financial hub:

Zoomed into the pool at a hotel:

Note the shapes of the building tops...

This one shows the power of the zoom :
A copy of a previous scene, this time with the new camera:
Zoomed into the top of a building, I guess this are vapors from the AC exhaust.

Some more photos:
here's my first attempt at stitching a photo... alas it was done with a point and shoot camera, s o the difference in illumination is glaring. and even the stitching was done in 'paint', so had to shrink the photos! how ill equipped i am!
the trailing light effect looks good. ain't it?

tall buildings jutting into the skies are hallmarks of hong kong's landscape. this is the view from my window on the 14th floor!
